What is New Year Cube Championship 2024?
New Year Cube Championship 2024 is a speed-cubing event that puts you to the test of speedsolving with cubers worldwide. The competition includes eleven events, each of which requires you to solve the cube in the fastest time. Those who can complete it the fastest will rank in the top 3 and win trophies and medals.
The most popular event is the 3×3 event, the easiest event is the Pyraminx and the toughest cube in this event is the 5×5. Which cube can you solve?

Who can participate in the event?
This event has 4 age groups which are as follows:

When and where is the event taking place?
New Year Cube Championship 2024 is taking place on Sat Jan 27th & Sun 28th, 2024, on an Online Platform. What are the Events I can participate in?
There are 11 cubing events scheduled for NYCC-2024. Here is the schedule.

What is OH?
OH stands for One-Handed. If you can solve the 3×3, 2×2, Pyraminx or Skewb in one hand while using the table as support, you can participate in this event.
You are allowed to only use one of your hands to hold and turn the layers and cannot switch hands during the solve.
Pro tip: Since OH sounds like a very hard task, usually fewer people sign up, but that means there’s a good chance you might bag a trophy or a medal if you are brave enough!

Are there any Prizes? If so, How many?
There are 264 Medals and Trophies to be won!!
All participants will get an E – certificate after participation, which will be emailed. Winners will receive trophies and medals shipped for free[1]
Prizes for 1st (Gold), 2nd (Silver) and 3rd (Bronze) place will be awarded for each of the 11 events in each of the 4 Age Groups.
To top it all, we have 3 extra surprises too!!
That’s 267 in total!
How many attempts do I get for each event?
You get two (2) attempts for each event you participate in. We’ll use the average of the 2 solve times to compute the rankings in each event. A DNF in one solve will lead to the average being a DNF.
All events other than the 3×3 will have 1 round of solves. The 3×3 cube event will have 2 rounds.
For the 3×3 main event, the top 5 ranking from each age group will go head to head in a Final Round on the day of the Prize Distribution Ceremony.
How many Events can I take part in?
Out of the 11 events, a cuber can participate in any number of events.
You can attempt for 1 cube or all 11 of them
